It’s easy to stay on guard with ULCERGARD® (omeprazole).
ULCERGARD is an effective medication that prevents stomach ulcers in horses. It is the only preventive medication approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
A daily dose of ULCERGARD during times of stress effectively prevents stomach ulcers in healthy horses at risk for developing ulcers.* Click here to see a list of common stress factors.
The active ingredient in ULCERGARD, omeprazole, inhibits acid production at its source — the proton pump.
ULCERGARD is available through licensed veterinarians without a prescription.1
How to use ULCERGARD.
Give a daily dose of ULCERGARD, clearly marked on each tube, on the back of the horse’s tongue or deep in the cheek pouch. If any of the dose is lost or rejected, re-dosing is recommended.
